چکیده
Floods represent one of the most severe natural disasters threatening development human society worldwide, including in Thailand. In recent decades, Chaiyaphum province has experienced a problem with flooding almost every year. particular, flood 2010 caused property damage 495 million Baht, more than 322,000 persons were affected, and approximately 1046.4 km2 productive agricultural area was affected. Therefore, this study examined how to optimize land use cover allocation for mitigation using change hydrological models optimization methods. This research aimed allocate (LULC) minimize surface Mueang district, province, The methodology consisted six stages: data collection preparation, LULC classification, prediction, runoff estimation, mapping, economic ecosystem service value evaluation change. According results mapping suitable dry, normal, wet years goal programming CLUE-S model, 2049 under normal year could provide highest future gain. meantime, drought Nevertheless, considering values changes reduction, is Consequently, it can be concluded that derived used as primary information project implementation. Additionally, presented conceptual framework workflows guideline government agencies examine other flood-prone areas

Land cover/land use categories are relevant components in land management. Understanding how land cover/land use change over time is necessary to assess the consequences of humans and natural stressors on the earth’s environment and resources. The aim of the study was to map and monitor the spatial and temporal change in land cover/land use for the periods of 1977, 1991 and 2016 and to predict ...

Models are used in a variety of fields, including land change science, to better understand the dynamics of systems, to develop hypotheses that can be tested empirically, and to make predictions and/or evaluate scenarios for use in assessment activities. Modeling is an important component of each of the three foci outlined in the science plan of the Land-use and -cover change (LUCC) project (Tu...

Analyzing the process of land use and cover changes during long periods of time and predicting the future changes is highly important and useful for the land use managers. In this study, the land use maps in the Ardabil plain in north-west part of Iran for four periods (1989, 1998, 2009 and 2013) are extracted and analyzed through remote sensing technique, using the land-sat satellite images. T...

This study analyzes the characteristics of land use/land cover change in Jordan’s Irbid governorate, 1984–2018, and predicts future land use/land cover for 2030 and 2050 using a cellular automata-Markov model. The results inform planners and decision makers of past and current spatial dynamics of land use/land cover change and predicted urban expansion, for a better understanding and successful...

Access to current and future water resources is one of the concerned problems for managers and policymakers around the world. Because of the communication between water resources and land use, these two topics had come together in different researches. Scenarios designed in regional land planning provide the basis for analyzing the existing opportunities and making the right decisions for manag...
